Early Christmas
We had an early Christmas with Joseph and Leanna in Augusta. Mackie enjoyed her opening her presents and helping Finn with his. BUT, the winner of the evening was the drum set from Leanna and Joseph. As you can see, Finn drummed his way to sleep.

This little link is to a really funny website of all the people you see at Wal-Mart. I found this one especially hilarious.

New York, New York
Tripp and I took a short vacation (without the babies - Loads of Thanks to Mama and Mimi) to New York for my good friend Hattie O'Neal's wedding.
The trip was amazing. We slept in, ate well, and I got to take Trapeze lessons.
Did I mention the wedding was gorgeous? The Church in which Hattie was married was called Plymouth Church. Its history is quite long and very storied. But one story tells of a visit by a very tall and distinctive looking gentleman, who returned to this church, and this church only, when visiting New York. This gentleman was Abraham Lincoln and the pew in which he sat was left empty during the wedding to honor all those brave men and women who have lost their lives in defense of our country. Quite moving.
We ate a several wonderful restaurants (Land, Pastis, 'Wichcraft), but one was absolutely magnificent -- Artisinal. It is a french bistro known for its wine and cheese flights. If we ever get up there again, it is a must eat for both of us.

School Days for Finn and Mackie
Finn and Mackie have started a new school, and we love it!! Finn has done mothers morning out before, but little Mack is experiencing this school thing for the first time. As you can see by the pictures, Finn does not even give me a second glance as he walks himself into his room. Mackie on the other hand has a few attachment issues with Mama, but we are working through those.
Off we go.....

Trying to play catch up!
The Presnell household has been crazy these past few months. So crazy that posting to the blog just fell off the radar. BUT, we promise to be better.
Here is a quick update:
Here is a quick update:
Tripp spent last weekend fishing with some friends from college and grad school. They stayed on a little island with fish camp called Huff and Puff. The catch was pretty good, but I think the fun times were even better.
Finn had his second birthday party. The rain stopped the pool party but did not dampen the fun. We'll post some pics asap.
Oh -- We planted a garden. Still trying to conquer the aphids, but we are seeing some fresh veggies.
