New York, New York

Tripp and I took a short vacation (without the babies - Loads of Thanks to Mama and Mimi) to New York for my good friend Hattie O'Neal's wedding.

The trip was amazing. We slept in, ate well, and I got to take Trapeze lessons.

Did I mention the wedding was gorgeous? The Church in which Hattie was married was called Plymouth Church. Its history is quite long and very storied. But one story tells of a visit by a very tall and distinctive looking gentleman, who returned to this church, and this church only, when visiting New York. This gentleman was Abraham Lincoln and the pew in which he sat was left empty during the wedding to honor all those brave men and women who have lost their lives in defense of our country. Quite moving.

We ate a several wonderful restaurants (Land, Pastis, 'Wichcraft), but one was absolutely magnificent -- Artisinal. It is a french bistro known for its wine and cheese flights. If we ever get up there again, it is a must eat for both of us.
